California Cold in June

OK, I'm  a pretty experienced traveller, and I know how to pack a suitcase with the correct clothing for the climate.  I've been to different states and countries, and have managed to be comfortably dressed wherever I went.
But, I must say that California in June surprised me. "Sunny California" they call it because they want you to come and visit.  What they don't, but should, call it is "Sunny Freezing California" or "Mostly Sunny California".

We could see the snow far off in the mountains, but who knew that when we got closer, we would be in the snow?  Three feet or more in some cases.

Granted, these pictures were taken in Yosemite on the road to Glacier Point, but it's June for God's sake!  It's supposed to be warm everywhere!  All the reports we heard from New York said it was in the 90's and people were passing out from the heat.  That's what June weather should be...especially in California.

Despite the lower than expected temperatures, however, the sights were extraordinary.  Yosemite is a definite "Bucket List" item for everyone!
