THE MERRY CRUISERS
We arrived onboard the Crown Princess early, thanks to Ellen's Commodore Pass. We were able to get right to our rooms and drop our carry-ons, and head out to the deck to relax and enjoy the sun. Left to right we are Bunny, Ellen, Me (Barbara) and Joe. It was interesting to see the other passengers as they trickled on to the ship. So many first time cruisers, and those who were on the boat for the first time walked around looking awed and lost. It was our third time on the boat, so we knew our way around and got our "first day chores" done easily.
Princess had one good marketing ploy, which we had fun joining in on: a Scavenger Hunt. We were given a card that had to be stamped by 9 of the different departments: Casino, Internet, Shopping Desk, Spa, etc. I have to say it was a great way for people to become familiar with the ship and learn the various services and entertainments that were offered.
During the Sailaway Party, we were able to se the Oasis of the Seas (dubbed the "Monster of the Seas" by the captain. Notice that it's taller than the building it was sailing past.
After the party, it was back to the room to change and then down to dinner. We were seated at a table for 8, but our tablemates had not come down to the first dinner. What could that mean?
